Students who demonstrate academic potential, personal character aligned with Hillcrest’s School Values, and a commitment to their education are eligible. Priority is given to students for whom financial support would significantly increase access to Christian schooling.
Recipients are expected to reflect Hillcrest’s core values, with a particular emphasis on Courage. This includes personal integrity, resilience in the face of challenges, and a willingness to grow spiritually, academically, and socially.
Selection is made by a scholarship panel that includes College leadership. Applications are assessed based on academic potential, demonstrated need, and a personal statement from the student. Confidentiality is respected throughout the process.
While direct student sponsorship is not offered for privacy and compliance reasons, you may choose to contribute to a named scholarship or give in honour/memory of a family member or organisation. This can be acknowledged publicly or remain anonymous at your request.
Yes. All donations to the Bright Futures Scholarship Fund are fully tax-deductible. You will receive a formal receipt for tax purposes upon processing.
100% of your contribution goes directly to student support. No portion is retained for administration or overhead. Our goal is to maximise every dollar’s impact.
Yes. Many of our supporters give monthly or annually. Recurring gifts help us plan ahead and ensure consistent scholarship funding from year to year.
Absolutely. All scholarship donors receive annual updates on the program’s reach, outcomes, and student progress (while respecting student privacy). Named donors may also be invited to Foundation events throughout the year.
